The Department of Cultural History is responsible for documenting Rogaland’s general cultural history, with emphasis on the history of the city of Stavanger.

The department’s collections comprise collections from rural districts, cities and towns, as well as church collections and an ethnographical collection.

The Department is also responsible for the Ledaal manor and Breidablikk mansion.
