Stavanger Maritime Museum`s Collections
In addition to the two sailing vessels Anna af Sand and Wyvern, the Maritime Museum’s collections comprise:
- 6 open boats from Rogaland
- Approximately 7000 artifacts, mostly models, tools and equipment from commerce shipping and other maritime businesses, but also material from marine archaeological finds
- Approximately 150 paintings, mainly ship portraits
- Approximately 600 maps
- Approximately 15 000 photographs
- A comprehensive archive containing plans and drawings from local ship owners, Stavanger Støberi & Dok, and Rosenberg Mekaniske Verksted
- Several private archives from local businesses related to maritime activities.
- Thematic card indexes, clippings and case archives.
